Linton started Beyond a Room with the idea that hosting should be easier and travelling should be experienced in the shoes of a local. He worked for AirBnB photographing over 200 homes and found that everyone he met was tired of asking their mother to check-in their guests or clean their place. In his spare time (wait, what spare time?), you might find him skipping down to the coast to catch a wave or two.
The Grain Store on Flinders lane has the best breakfast plus the lady who runs it is a champ. For fine dining, Cumulus is a little further east on the same street and for the best bar in town 1000 Pound Bend up on Little Lonsdale has it all, an art gallery, beer and burgers with free wifi.
